1.) Absolute Etymology Facts

English “church” from Old English cirice (c. 900 AD) = “place of worship, assembly for the Lord.”

From Proto-Germanic kirikō, directly from Greek kyriakón (“belonging to the Lord,” from kyrios = lord/master).

Used in English Bibles to translate Greek ekklesia and Hebrew qahal — hundreds of times.

2.) KITVEI HaKodesh Context and Definition

There is no Ancient Abrayi word for “church” as a building or institution.

The pure picture is Qahal (קָהָל) — “called-out assembly” — and Edah (עֵדָה) — “congregation of witnesses.”

Pure context: YAH’s people meet in houses, by rivers, or in open fields as a living, called-out body (Acts 2:46; 1 Corinthians 16:19; Shemot 12:3 — the whole Qahal of Israel). It is never a building — it is YAH’s set-apart people gathered under His authority.

3.) Pagan Ties

Direct tie to Kyrios worship — the Greek title for pagan lords, emperors, and gods (Zeus, Caesar, etc.).

Roman and Greek temples were called “houses of the lord” and turned into “churches” after Constantine.

Catholic-Christian twist: “Church” became a physical building, hierarchy, and state institution — exactly the pagan temple system YAH destroyed (2 Kings 23).

4.) Language TWISTS

Translators replaced the living Hebrew Qahal (called-out people) with a Greek building-word tied to pagan “lord” worship.

English Bibles turned YAH’s organic, house-to-house family into a vague “church” that now means Sunday building, denomination, or tax-exempt corporation.

Result: readers chase steeples, pews, and programs instead of being the living called-out Qahal.

5.) Pagan Myths as EMET (Truth)

Kyrios temples and “lord’s houses” were never myths — they were real pagan worship sites with altars, priests, and state control that replaced YAH’s simple gatherings.

Serpent 🐍 deception exposed: in the Garden the enemy twisted YAH’s firm word (“Did YAH really say?” — Bereshit 3).

At Babel men sought their own assemblies and names through false unity.
