   - English “peace” entered c. 1200 AD from Old French *pais / pes*, directly from Latin *pax* = peace, tranquility, harmony, pact, treaty, absence of war.

   - Roman goddess **Pax** — personification of peace and imperial harmony. Major temple and altar built by Augustus (Ara Pacis Augustae, 9 BC). Worshipped as “Pax Romana” — the forced “peace” of the empire through conquest. Coins, statues, and festivals honored her.  

   - Greek **Eirene** — goddess of peace, one of the Horae, worshipped with altars and linked to prosperity after war.  

   - Catholic-Christian twist: “Pax Christi,” “Kiss of Peace,” “Peace of the Church,” papal “Pax” blessings — direct continuation of Roman imperial peace cult.

   - Pax and Eirene were never myths — they were real deified forces of imperial control and false harmony worshipped with altars and blood-sealed treaties.  

   - Serpent 🐍 deception exposed: in the Garden the enemy twisted YAH’s wholeness into false “peace” through rebellion (Bereshit 3).  

   - At Babel men built a tower for false unity and “peace” under one name (Bereshit 11).  

   - Baal demanded “peace” through false covenants and blood altars — YAH destroyed his altars because Baal stole the complete wholeness that belongs only to Him.
