1.) Absolute Etymology Facts  

English “apostle” from Old English *apostol* (c. 900 AD), from Latin *apostolus*, from Greek *apóstolos* “one sent forth, messenger, envoy.”  

Literally from *apo* (away from) + *stellein* (to send) = “one dispatched on a mission.”  

Used in English Bibles to translate Greek *apóstolos* and the concept of the 12 sent ones — hundreds of times.

2.) KITVEI HaKodesh Context and Definition  

There is no single Ancient Abrayi word that carries the later church title “apostle.”  

The pure picture is **Shaliach** (שָׁלִיחַ) — “one sent with full authority of the Sender.”  

Pure context: YAHusha sent the 12 as His Shaliachim (Mattityahu 10:1-5) and later sent Shaul as a Shaliach to the nations. It is never a lifelong title or office — it is a temporary mission of obedience under YAH’s direct authority (2 Corinthians 12:12 — signs of a true sent one).

3.) Pagan Ties  

Direct tie to **Greek and Roman envoys** — *apóstoloi* were official messengers sent by kings, emperors, or pagan gods (Zeus, Apollo) on diplomatic or naval missions.  

Mystery cults used “apostles” as initiates sent to spread secret teachings.  

Catholic-Christian twist: “Apostle” became a ranked church office with apostolic succession, popes, and cathedrals — exactly the pagan envoy system.

4.) Language TWISTS  

Translators replaced the humble Hebrew **Shaliach** (one simply sent by YAH) with a Greek title of official power and status.  

English Bibles turned YAH’s obedient sent ones into a vague “apostle” that now means superstar preacher, church founder, or self-appointed title.  

Result: readers chase apostolic mantles, conferences, and hierarchies instead of simply going where YAH sends them.

5.) Pagan Myths as EMET (Truth)  

Greek and Roman *apóstoloi* and mystery-cult envoys were never myths — they were real dispatched messengers of pagan lords and gods, carrying authority, messages, and power that replaced YAH’s pure sending.  

Serpent 🐍 deception exposed: in the Garden the enemy twisted YAH’s firm word (“Did YAH really say?” — Bereshit 3).  

At Babel men sought their own sent ones and names through false unity.
