1.) Absolute Etymology Facts  

English “prophet” from Old English *prophēta* (c. 900 AD), from Latin *propheta*, from Greek *prophētēs* “spokesman, interpreter, one who speaks for another.”  

Literally from *pro* (before, for) + *phēmi* (to speak) = “one who speaks on behalf of a god.”  

Used in English Bibles to translate Hebrew *nabi* and Greek *prophētēs* — hundreds of times.

2.) KITVEI HaKodesh Context and Definition  

The pure Ancient Abrayi word is **Nabi** (נָבִיא) — “one who bubbles up, pours forth, or speaks forth the word of YAH.”  

Pure context: YAH raises up a Nabi to declare His exact words, warn of judgment, and call for teshuvah (Devarim 18:15-18; Yirmeyahu 1:9 — “I have put My words in your mouth”). It is never a professional title — it is a burden and a burning fire in the bones (Yirmeyahu 20:9).

3.) Pagan Ties  

Direct tie to **Greek oracles and prophets** of Apollo and Zeus at Delphi, where “prophets” spoke in ecstatic trances for money and political power.  

Roman *vates* and augurs spoke for the gods in temples.  

Baal and Asherah had hundreds of false prophets who danced, cut themselves, and prophesied lies (1 Kings 18:19-29).

4.) Language TWISTS  

Translators replaced the living Hebrew **Nabi** (one who pours forth YAH’s word) with a Greek title of pagan spokesmen and paid interpreters.  

English Bibles turned YAH’s burning, obedient mouthpiece into a vague “prophet” that now means fortune-teller, TV preacher, or self-appointed visionary.  

Result: readers chase prophetic conferences, “words from the Lord,” and titles instead of trembling at YAH’s actual voice.

5.) Pagan Myths as EMET (Truth)  

Greek oracles and Baal’s prophets were never myths — they were real paid spokesmen of false gods, speaking in trances and lies that replaced YAH’s pure word.  

Serpent 🐍 deception exposed: in the Garden the enemy twisted YAH’s firm word (“Did YAH really say?” — Bereshit 3).  

At Babel men sought their own spokesmen and names through false unity.

6.) **EXPOSED** “PROPHET” is another sneaky Greek-oracle-term (prophētēs of Apollo and Baal) that masquerades as a holy office while feeding the same Baal/Babel false-spokesman system YAH hates most — hiding the pure, burning Nabi of the Scrolls that only YAH can raise up and speak through.
