1.) Absolute Etymology Facts  

English “evangelist” from Old English *evangelista* (c. 900 AD), from Latin *evangelista*, from Greek *euangelistēs* “bringer of good news, herald.”  

Literally from *eu* (good) + *angelos* (messenger) = “one who announces good tidings.”  

Originally used for heralds proclaiming victories or births of emperors.  

Used in English Bibles to translate Greek *euangelistēs* — a few times.

2.) KITVEI HaKodesh Context and Definition  

The pure Ancient Abrayi picture is **Mevaser** (מְבַשֵּׂר) — “one who brings glad tidings, announces good news.”  

Pure context: YAH Himself is the Mevaser (Yeshayahu 52:7 — “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the Mevaser who proclaims shalom, who brings good news of deliverance”). YAHusha is the ultimate Mevaser of the Besorah (good news) and He sends others to proclaim it (Ephesians 4:11 lists it as a function, not a lifelong title).

3.) Pagan Ties  

Direct tie to **Roman imperial heralds** — “evangelists” who ran ahead of the emperor announcing “good news” of military victories, new births in the royal family, or the emperor’s divinity (called *euangelia* in Greek inscriptions).  

Greek mystery cults used “evangelists” to spread secret salvation messages.  

Catholic-Christian twist: “Evangelist” became a ranked church office with crusades, TV preachers, and soul-winning quotas — exactly the pagan herald system.

4.) Language TWISTS  

Translators replaced the humble Hebrew **Mevaser** (simple announcer of YAH’s glad tidings) with a Greek title of imperial heralds and paid messengers.  

English Bibles turned YAH’s joyful, obedient proclaimer into a vague “evangelist” that now means professional soul-winner, revival preacher, or big-event speaker.  

Result: readers chase stadium crusades, altar calls, and titles instead of simply proclaiming YAH’s deliverance wherever He sends them.

5.) Pagan Myths as EMET (Truth)  

Roman imperial “evangelists” and mystery-cult heralds were never myths — they were real messengers of false gods and emperors, announcing “good news” of conquest and divinity that replaced YAH’s pure glad tidings.  

Serpent 🐍 deception exposed: in the Garden the enemy twisted YAH’s firm word (“Did YAH really say?” — Bereshit 3).  

At Babel men sought their own heralds and names through false unity.

6.) **EXPOSED** “EVANGELIST” is another sneaky Greek-imperial-herald-term (euangelistēs of Caesar and false gods) that masquerades as a holy office while feeding the same Baal/Babel false-proclaimer system YAH hates most — hiding the pure, joyful Mevaser of the Scrolls that only YAH can raise up and send.
