EXPOSED: Bishop - Entry #54

EXPOSED: Bishop
Entry #54

1.) Absolute Etymology Facts
English “bishop” from Old English *biscop* (c. 900 AD), from Late Latin *episcopus*, from Greek *epískopos* “overseer, guardian, one who watches over.”
Literally from *epi* (over) + *skopos* (watcher, inspector).
Originally a secular Greek and Roman title for city officials, inspectors, or guardians of public affairs.

2.) KITVEI HaKodesh Context and Definition
The pure Ancient Abrayi/NT picture is **Episkopos** (ἐπίσκοπος) — “overseer, watcher of souls.”
Pure context: YAH’s leaders are simply Episkopoi who watch over the flock with humility and without lording (1 Timothy 3:1-2; Titus 1:7; Acts 20:28 — “Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Ruach HaQadash has made you overseers”). It is never a ranked office — it is a humble watching function under YAH alone.

3.) Pagan Ties
Direct tie to **Greek and Roman civic overseers** — *epískopoi* were official inspectors and guardians appointed by pagan cities and emperors to watch over temples, finances, and public order.
Later adopted by Constantine’s state religion as “Bishop” with thrones, mitres, and authority over entire regions (dioceses named after Roman districts).
Baal system link: Canaanite high-place “watchers” and priests who oversaw false worship (2 Kings 23).

4.) Language TWISTS
Translators replaced the humble Hebrew/Greek **Episkopos** (simple watcher of souls) with a Latin title of pagan civic power and imperial control.
English Bibles turned YAH’s servant overseer into a vague “bishop” that now means salaried church ruler, cathedral lord, or hierarchical title.
Result: readers chase bishop rings, robes, and thrones instead of humble watching under YAH.

5.) Pagan Myths as EMET (Truth)
Greek and Roman *epískopoi* and imperial overseers were never myths — they were real appointed guardians of pagan cities and temples, wielding authority that replaced YAH’s pure watching.
Serpent 🐍 deception exposed: in the Garden the enemy twisted YAH’s firm word (“Did YAH really say?” — Bereshit 3).
At Babel men sought their own overseers and names through false unity.

6.) **EXPOSED** “BISHOP” is another sneaky Greek-Roman-overseer-term (epískopos of emperors and pagan cities) that masquerades as a holy office while feeding the same Baal/Babel false-hierarchy system YAH hates most — hiding the pure, humble Episkopos of the Scrolls that only YAH can appoint to watch His flock.

b.) Humble soul overseer
